Is this another AI writing tool?

No. Writium helps you research and organize an essay — the writing itself is still yours. The AI searches the web for sources and vets what it finds, but it does not draft prose. That is on purpose.

How is this different from Google Docs or Notion?

Docs and Notion give you a blank page and nothing else. Here the page comes with a source library beside it — folders, credibility tags, saved quotes and highlights — plus AI search over the live web. Your research lives next to your writing instead of in seventeen tabs.

Will my teacher know I used AI?

The AI only helps you find sources — you decide which ones to use and you write every word of the essay yourself. There is nothing here that writes for you.

Does it work on a Chromebook?

Yes. It is a web app and runs in any modern browser. Your work is saved to your account so you can pick up on any device.

What citation styles are supported?

Citation formatting isn't built in yet. Every source keeps its author, date, and URL, and your saved quotes sit right next to the draft, so writing the citations yourself is quick. Style support is on our list as the beta grows.

Can I use it for a group project?

Not yet — today each workspace is single-user and private to your account. You can export your data as JSON any time. Sharing is something we're thinking about.
