Writium started as a tool we wished we'd had in school: one calm place to write, keep your sources straight, and actually find things worth citing — before the night it's due.
The hard part of a research paper was never the typing. It was the juggling: twelve tabs, a half-organized doc, and a pile of PDFs all fighting for your attention while the argument slipped out of your head.
So we built the opposite of a chatbot. Writium puts your document at the center and your sources right beside it — organized into folders, tagged for credibility, with your own notes and saved quotes attached. When you need evidence, the AI searches the live web for real pages, ranks the ones that fit your essay, and labels what it finds — vetted by Claude, with a note on where each source helps. The essay stays in your voice, from your reading.
We think the future of student tools isn't "AI does it for you." It's tools that make you a sharper thinker and leave a research trail you're proud to show a teacher. That's the whole idea.
