Terms of service.

These are the rules of using Writium. We've tried to keep them readable. If anything's confusing, ask us.

Using Writium

By creating an account, you agree to use Writium for its intended purpose: planning, researching, and organizing your own writing. You agree not to use it to harass other users, abuse our infrastructure, or do anything illegal.

Your content

You own what you create. We need a narrow license to display your projects back to you. That license ends the moment you delete the content.

Academic integrity

Writium is a tool for organizing your own thinking. The AI source finder helps you locate sources; the writing itself is yours to do. We do not draft prose for you, on purpose. You are responsible for following the academic-integrity policies of your school.

Plans, payment, and cancellation

What we promise (and don't)

We work hard to keep the service running and your data safe. We can't guarantee zero downtime, and we can't be held liable for indirect damages from outages or data loss. Please export your projects periodically if they are important to you.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms — but if that happens we'll tell you why and (where possible) give you a chance to fix it first.

Changes

When we change these terms in a material way, we'll email everyone with an active account at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
